i've seen those pics as well actually i saw a AE101 dash in an 82. All custom brackets had to made, i'd imagine a shit load of work involved plus the dash stuck out like came out towards the driver and passenger a fair bit more than the standard one so it looked like a lot less room, plus it was black and the rest of the interior was either blue or brown i cant really remember it looked really out of place to me. Dunno if i could be arsed doing it myself but each to their own, i dont see any real gain in it, my 82 twin cam dash has got everything i need in it Smile

Good luck if you go ahead with it would love to see some pics

Cheers.

Hey guys, i am currently doin this conversion myself and so far so good, to fit the dash in you only have to shave a bit off each end so it fits in length ways and so it wouldnt stick out so far i cut the dash back and fibre glassed the shape of my windscreen on to the dash and it fits like a glove, the only difficutly is really where you want to put braces in the middle of the dash, i will get some pics up when i have done it all so far it looks good but.

Hey i have just finished my 4agte conversion and ae92 dash conversion in my ae82. All i did to the dash was just about 2inches off the back of it so it doesnt stick out asmuch. and had to make up new brackets. I also changes the fan, aircon and heater unit as the GTZ halfcut had it all and its pretty fancy.

As the project was just really finishe today ill put some pics up in the next few weeks.
