Drive IN drive out MA61 1JZ conversion Wed, 07 July 2004 06:52 Go to next message
I read on here somewhere that a company does a 1JZ into MA61 drive in drive out conversion for 5000, is that correct? might be forced to freight my car to them, as no1 where i live can really do it!

i would say "too good to be true!"

if someone proves me wrong I will be amazed!

unless they don't bother doing the normal freshen up things as they can cost a fair bit.

Yes, $5k seems unlikely considering auto 1JZ front cuts are around the $3k mark these days. $5k labour is a little more realistic.

i just went through said conversion
and i sourced 99% of parts and bullshit to make it bolt in myself
cost me 10 000 dollars
parts were about 7000 easy
prove me wrong and ill be happy to see it.
id budget atleast 10k
AT LEAST
and prepare to spend more and more after its done
conversions are not cheap and ive learnt this. if you have no heart in it or want to be a cheap arse i suggest you buy an already turbo car
even people doing it themselves were over 5k for a decent 1jz conversion
