HELP!!! toyota corona wont reverse

hi i park my old ladys car in the front yard and when i went to reverse it it would'nt move so i put in (D) and it moves forward
and i put it back in (R) it wont go any were does anyone no why i really need to know how to fix this problem thx sam
(the car is a toyota corona st141 1986 auto trans)

handbrake not stuck on?? i know my car goes fowards with handbrake on but wont reverse

does it just free rev {2SC..free rev  }
has it got auto fluid
if no then yes, just hold it at about 2000rpm nad go from P-N back and forth
