the fact that it looks like a magna is all part of the fun when you side step the 5 puck ceramic button clutch at 6000rpm

wow...
this place is full of comedians..
why do you feel that you need to knock the car?
if you don't want to buy it, then move along..
Maybe someone wants to upgrade from there little corolla to something bigger and faster.
and I need to sell this and get another car as a run around..
and it's already advertised on some bitsaremissing forums..
thanks for your concern..
and there is no rust or sticky power windows..

well they were in direct competition with the LIBERTY RS turbo and Celice GT4 of the same era..
and the celica weighs more than these..
besides, with the mods on the car, I would easily say that you'd never know the car weighs whatever it does..
Honestly, I went from an R32 GTST to the VR4 and was surprised how much more torque this thing has..

check the base of the A - pillars.

| Yes I owned one of these so I know all too well...
Quote: | well they were in direct competition with the LIBERTY RS turbo and Celice GT4 of the same era..
| yes but the RS was easily better than the other two, so no competition really to speak of.
Have owned the GT4 too...
Good luck with the sale

I know where the rust occurs on these cars.. there is no rust on the base of the A pillars or guards or anywhere else..
so give it up fella!!

Well maybe when rallied.. but on the street is a different story... And I've had the RS before the skyline and to tell you the truth it was a laggy peice of crap till you got way over 3000rpm where it started to build boost.
So once again, please, find something else to do than updating this thread..
anyway..
there is some interesting reading here if anyone is bored..

The bonnet vents are from an Evo 0 Galant. As far as i know they were called Evo 0's coz they were used as testing grounds for the intercooler and turbo used in Evo 1's and they also had bigger injectors and lsd in the front.
So in other words they were the top of the range vr4 Galants.

These cars are very nice and quick. My mates brother has one, the top of the line vr4's came with aluminium bonnets and those vents, I think they may have been the evos.
His was standard, had not gone through compliance and it cost his at least 7k
Anyway, its a fun car to drive with lots of go and its a pretty strong package.
Good luck with it

They all have stress cracks at the base of the base of the A pillar. I first discovered it on mine and I later checked out more than a dozen other examples in car parks and it was quite consistent. Around the inner boot and behind the fuel tank are other areas. The quality control isn't something to write home about.
No question that the engines are stronger/torquier/have more potential and the driveline tougher than a RS, but at the end of the day a stock RS is faster to 100 kmh, over the 400m and for top speed.
The VR4 needs much stiffer springs/dampers than stock otherwise they handle like a boat. I was shocked at the difference between mine and the RS I had before. It wasn't fun to drive at all unfortunately, unless one compared it to a Commondore or something.and it more like a t. A stock RS would wipe its arse over a stock VR4 on a twisty road, lag or not.
Refer to the Wheels and Moder Motor tests of 1991 - the RS won in both cases.
They are the best performance value for cars under 10k because they have are not well regarded in the marketplace as a used comparison to the RS and GT4. And they take a LONG time to get rid of. Wonder why?
