has anyone had any experience with these mufflers that have like a circular thing in the end of them that aparantly can make them quieter if u bolt it in and you can adjust it by turning it to allow more flow or something. it's hard to explain but do you know what i mean?

Do they really work like does it make a noticable difference in noise, any performance loss when running in 'quiet' mode

or is it total wank factor

Cheers

yes i know what you are talking about.

they basically work by restricting flow.
i imagine they would have a reasonable variation in volume, however the quieter you make it, the more performace loss you will experience.

just get a decent muffler, its all wank.

aparantly legal in SA Smile

but they do look ugly at the back, just thinkin it would be nice to keep it quiet when cruising thru town, and turn it up when cruising out and about.

but they want about 250-280 for one (including fitting and stuff)

hmmm i can get a standard straight thru stainless cannon style for a lot less than that so i think i'll drop the wanky 'tuneable' muff idea for now and just clutch in, accel off when i see the blue boys Smile
