Hi guys,
I need some advice and experience with choosing some cams.
I am about to run a 4agze bottom with custom forge pistons with a 20 valve silvertop head. I have a custom exhaust manifold to bolt on an hks or s15 turbo. I have a custom plenum intake manifold made up to be used with the quad throttle bodies.
My question I will be purchasing a set of cams, valve springs, cam gears and valve train kit(if need it). What lift before i need the valve train kit, brand prob be toda.
I would like some advice on what sort of cam duration and lift will i need, I dont mind the car idling rough,What sort of cams would suit the turbo setup to extract most power? What sort of lift can i go b4 i have to get the valve train kit? Will i need to change the valves to something stronger because of running force induction? I was thinking something along the lines of 272 duration and 9mm lift. Is this too much?
Advice and opinons please
thanks

You really should be asking these questions of your cam supplier, if they can't answer them then go to someone who can.
You will need stronger valve springs both for the bigger cams and the fact that there will be pressure behind the intake valves trying to push them open.
