You're all off the hook. I just figured out it's an empolyee of mine how has been using my machine at various points this week.
And the damage seems to be a little more than Toymods! 
There are several large chunks of the server at work either delete or moved

Things are becomming clearer and I'm slowly (and rather painfully) digging myself out of trouble.
This (now EX) employee decided that it would be funny to:
1. Post irrelevant threads, try and sell my celicas
2. Delete directories out of my computer including my whole MP3 collection and the Jobs I've been working on this week
3. get on MSN and hit on all the females and trying to arrange 3somes beteen my G/F and other girls I have on my list.
4. Take my digital camera into the bathroom to do some photography (does anyone want a slightly used digi cam?)
5. made porn sites home pages on nearly all computers.
6. took the balls out of the bosses roller mouse.
Now I need to go home and try to explain to my G/F and make several calls to other girls. (funnyly enough apparently one showed interest )

Basically He was a new trainee who started work on Monday under the 3 month trial. Monday, Tuesday he was good. I make the work place a happy place in terms of staff moral and someone did take the ball out of his mouse after lunch on tuesday.This is the only thing I can trace that was done to him.
Wednesday thursday he was missing in action and on friday he came in with this chip on his shoulder. at lunch he went out and came back 2 hours later and this appears to be where all the fun began, I was constantly being called way to fix one of the computers (his) and I got him to use mine. where all the damage was done.
I did have strong reason to belive that he was under the infuence of something and his general attitude on friday lead the director over me to the same conclusion. Upon questioning he was rather hesitant to answer and answers were rather lame.
What I lead to believe was random deletings of files last night, it now seems he was deleting every directory staring with "M" as that is all that I retrieved. and all the people he contacted on MSN started with M.
Arriving at work this morning to clean up finish cleaning up the mess, the cleaners found a used syringe in the toilet bin.
Unfortunatly I think this kid thourght everything was funny in his own mind, including me firing him.

No. the new business (for the first few years) will be a one man show. Things in that direction are looking promising at the moment. and if it goes ahead I'll be much happier and much less stressed than I am now.
This is one of the reasons I want to get out of this bloody industry. I inevitably end up having to train someone from scratch on CAD then loose them to a bigger firm when they know what they are doing and they can get more pay.
I find I spend more time training people every few weeks, then doing it again a few weeks later because the director over me is a tight wad and doesn't want to offer the money to tempt the better drafties. and I'm now getting questioned in my ability as my work is declining due to lack of time on the job.
