drifting came from tarmac rally
but it wasnt called drifting at that point

the japs made a sport and a whole genre out of it.

i watched the first bit of the videos, they look like they are drifing on mud tho, but i would assume that it wouldn't take much power to drift one of those, they look pretty damn light

this sport is called rallycross and is a big sport in western eupore
the peugeot 106 is rwd and is probally powered by a 2.0 16valve opel calibra motor
the other red hatchback is a vauxhall astra gte with the same engine "looks like a daewoo"
both cars are converted to rwd from fwd
its a mad sport and allows group b supercars to compete in such as the quattro,metro6r4/rs200/delta s4

You cant really say that thats where it started cause this movie is pretty new, u can see two H2's parked in the middle of the track next to the pick up truck. But we need something like this in Australia! how much would it cost to set up one of these??

yes i can because theyve been doing this type of racing in scandanavia for over 25yrs

this was just a really good website with some of this years racing
