I'm noting that this will porbably NOT fit on a FWD and probably is not reccomended for a 4AGE but rather a 4AGZE since the Turbo blocks the space where the 4AGE distributor cap would sit.
In this case a crank angle sensor might need to be fitted to do the ignition timing. This is going by the photos tho....

True, it was designed for a 4AGZE, however if anyone has a 4AGE distributor Rex'd be more than glad to test fit it.
As for seperating it, Rex'll think about it ...

a bit of free advice for rex
rb 20 came out with hitachi t3 rollerbearing turbo and ceramic wheel
t28bb have garret compressor covers and steel wheel
from what i seen in the pic u have a t3 off a vg20 or rb20 and a t3 manifold.these turbos are still alright but they have their limitations- about 140rwkw as compared to the t28s 200kw
good luck with the sale

Would be pretty damn interested in the kit if it is indeed a t28 item . Please advise. It would be good to have confirmation on what the turbo is, As at the moment it is a bit up in the air. Thanks, jeremy ,sscommodore12@hotmail.com

The r32 rb20det turbo is indeed a bb unit. It is the series 1 rb20det with the sleeve bearing.

the rb20 turbo is a garret copy alot of the dimensions are the same as is the flanges.but they're made by hitachi.to prove it try and get parts for it from garret gcg make a upgrade kit which includes a aftermarket shaft, steel wheel, and specialy manufactured t04e compressor wheel.that is one of the only rebuild alternatives
the best way to find out is to ring garret(they work next door to me) so i think my info is pretty accurate.

no its not, have u ever seen a bbt28 they dont have nissan markings and most of them have a 2 bolt flange on the compresor inlet.and they most definately didnt come off rb20det
and only a t3 will fit on this manifold. t25/t28 has smaller flange

Hello all again,
Rex been a little busy the last couple of days (that'll fool em, he says ). But whats important now is that he is back...
Rex has some information for yer...
(1) It is still available, there are a couple of people interseted at the $800 mark so highest will take it.
(2) After a chat with a turbo spacialist here in Adelaide, Rex has the following information which may be of use to some.
While the Turbo may look like the other Nissan/Garret items, It is indeed manufactured by Hitachi. It was designed stand alone for the Skyline GTSt's RB20DET. It features a ball bearing core, Ceramic turbine and was very efficient for its day.
As for size, its flange is T3 but turbo's overall size is 'A small T3', so it sits somewhere between T28 and T3, as Rex said it was designed stand alone for the late model RB20DET.
It will support 250hp - 300hp with ease and is well suited to 1.6 - 2.0L engines offering good spooling and power potential, however not recommended for engines larger than 2.0L (Handy to know really as its on a manifold made for a 4AG(Z)E.
Rex thinks there is more written on his little piece of paper, but 't be still at work. If there's anything else worth making clear, he shall update on the morrow.
Joyride, your turbo looks like an RB25DET turbo. It uses the same T3 flange however is a tad larger than the RB20DET Turbo. It still uses the Ceramic back wheel and failed probaby because it was overspun.
Stay bad,
Rex

Needless to say that those few interseted have suddenly disappeared, Alien abduction, maybe?
Still for Sale , be perfect for someone looking to hang some metal shit off the side of their engine, or someone looking for the basis for a 4AGTE build.

uhhh.. i think you're just jealous because you didn't think of '3rd personing' yourself first
Rex has always been in the third, just ask his mate Chris;)
if you don't like it, who cares? "Not I", said the fly
Rex - if you've still got this, i may have a closer look this week sometime, when i drop off some more cash

Hello all,
Yes it has been sold. But to those interested, Rex is getting a number of head flanges made at the moment, so there may be a couple more manifolds available in the near future.
