4AGZE ecu or Aftermarket ECU Sun, 11 July 2004 20:13 Go to next message
Hi Guys

I need some help

My buddy wants to know if it's best to use a 4AGZE ecu with his engine or to use an aftermarket ecu like the Wolf3D V4 on the engine. He bought the 4AGZE engine without any ecu and he can get both at about the same price.

Cheers

Aftermarket gives you the capacity to retune to suit your desired fuel and ignition curves to compensate for modifications.

4A-GZE ECU will probably give more polished results on standard engine.

When considering the cost of each unit consider also loom and sensor costs for the aftermarket unit (if not supplied). Installation and tuning will be extra. If the ECU units (4A-GZE and Wolf) are available for the same price the 4A-GZE will be cheaper to set up and install.

Hmmm, sounds like either the Wolf fell off the back of a truck and will have some serious road rash, or the factory box is gold plated and platinum dipped... Sure about the pricing?

Ye round about the same price , The reason is because I live in South Africa and we have a local dealer for the wolf here , and the gze ecu there is no dealer here.So with all the import costs and everything they are in the same price region.
