its just mainly hoses and wires you need to be most careful of.
Crawl under the car with a torch and see what you think's gotta go

yeah mate. The main thing is get off everything that is obvious and as much as you can see. then wen removing the engine, take it really slow so you can notice if you have left anything connected! It happens to all of us!

labeling hoses also helps with the putting back in part..i made the mistake and did not..caused quite a few problems..there is 2 like bar type things that need to come off from the back underside of it..u can get to it through the cross member under neith..i cant remeberr how i ghot the intake mani off..but i do remember that i just took the whole head and mani off in 1 peice..then took it apart from there..how are u taking the engine out..with like a winch type thing and pulling it out from the top?..make sure everything is disconected..main thing i found a pain in the ass was the wireing loom..undo the front engine mount then chain up engine to hoist/winch and like V8_MA61 said do it really slow while looking for things to disconnect..pull slack on winch and then undo both side mounts and u should be alright from there..im hoping ur pulling gear box out to other wise ur definatlty going to have problems.. good luck man..oh and why are u pulling the engine out

There's not too much on the back, power steering, and maybe a few vaccuum hoses i think, just remember getting it out is the easy bit.
You could always un-do the mounts and lift/drop depending on which way you're going and find what's left connected

Hey - sorry I haven't filled in that post yet - it's too ****ing cold in the morning atm and hence I haven't had the nuts to get out there and check this out for ya...if you leave the intake manifold attached when you take the engine out, then good luck removing the wiring loom The loom shouldn't be too hard to detach from the intake manifold, but it may take a while to pull it out from under all the hoses and what-have-you.
