black seals/thingys around windows (ae82)

i have the ae82 corolla, and as like just about every other ae82 out there, the black seals around the windows (but attached to the doors and chasis) are fading away, and revealing the silver crap underneath them.
just wondering people opinions and how to go about repainting/restoring/replacing them?
and costs involved
