We used these things on large cruise boats ages ago. They were actually designed to suck air down long tubes from above the cabin to help engines breath a little easier.

I give the "turbo-zet" two THUMBS DOWN!!
They're basically two computer cooling fans in a plastic casing. I remember reading that an effective electric powered compressor would draw around 100Amps from the battery. This would require fitting an Ambulance-spec alternator, which would suck-up most of the power gain from the forced induction!! I think most belt-drive superchargers drag 20-40kw out of the crank at full-noise.
I'm fairly certain that any fuel efficiency or power gains are from the swirl and random turbulence induced by the fan blades. A properly designed intake manifold and inlet pipe/cleaner will do more for you!!

exactly what i thought st184 plus it says 3 sec faster 0-100 times or some shit:roll:. to make any power they would have to draw huge current from the electrical system otherwise i think they would just add restriction

I don't think computer fans make your car go faster
The review I read said you would need about 12 fans, not 2, to compensate for the restriction they create

That device would be the biggest load of crap out on the market. For such a small fan to even begin to pump out the amount of air that a turbo or supercharger would the thing would completly drain the cars battery. Just go out and buy the real thing

yeah all that work for 20psi in 3/10ths of a sec
seems that adding all the weight would cancel out the extra power though..

Hey quit laughing If i had money to burn i reckon it'd be heaps more fun than a turbo. It might only be a short burst of 8psi boost, but there's just something cool about having a Knightrider Mad Max asskickin' "turbo" switch on your steering wheel. And then having it charge back up again 5 minutes later? Sweet dude!

Riiiiiigggghhhhttttt.....
Or you could spend all that time and money on installing a real supercharger, and have boost whenever you want, for as long as you want, just by flexing your right-ankle!
