yes, but you have little choice. im not sure, but i think you only have to have the number plates on the back of your car anyway. someone correct me if im wrong, coz you'll get fucked on if i am wrong and you do this.

id have to know what the fuck a multinova is first.
and i thought that cameras only take pictures of the rear of your car, they cant be blinding a speeding motorist with a flash in his/her eyes.

What about the cops holding the portable cameras in front of you? Do they just record speed or speed and no.plate?

Change it to slimline and put it on the bar in the middle. if it hangs down 20mm or so, who gives a toss. Don't put it on the side. No offence Jag but I don't like it.

A multinova is a speed camera. WA people are wierd.
You have to run a front plate, EVEN IF YOUR CAR WAS NOT DESIGNED FOR ONE (eg. late model Porsche, Series VI onward RX7).

I agree but it depends on how hardcore your sleeper is.
My car would be considered a bit of a sleeper even though it has custom plates (which most people wouldn't understand ) and bright paint. Even with that stuff, you still don't expect it to be that fast I don't think?
I have half given up on the sleeper look as it is too hard to maintain. eg. I have a stripped interior so the options are to let people see in or get tinted windows. I think either of these may give the game up a bit.

firstly i would like to ask why are all the cars paltes covered? i mean im sure mnost of you have met each other at cruises, events and what not so you all have seen each others plates, so why cover them?
please forgive my ignorance but it stumps me
even if people see your plate how do they know who you are, where you live, etc, etc unless they have access to RTA info!!!
but to answer the Q at hand, i would try and leave it in the middle. does the abr have a section across the front bottom? if so then put it there.
also technically you have to have the front plate on by law, but its rare that cops do anything bout it cause the more important one is the rear. thats the one for cameras (picture NEVER taken from in front no matter what anyone says), also when cops have the radar they cannot read your plate, thats why they radio to the cop car ahead and describe the car or give chase.
i drove my car for 2yrs with no front plate (had no front bar) and never got asked bout it yet pulled over many times. just comes down to you and your luck/cop being a prick.
hell i had more trouble filling up petrol then with cops 'where is your front plate? you cannot fill up petrol without your front plate!' show him speeding fine i got 5min ago and state 'the cop didnt care so why do you? the back ones on so turn on the pump!' walk off...
i would probably leave it on the dash for now till you get pulled over or someone says something. also what the plate does cover will be max 100x300mm (is that how big they are?) and will cause your cars temp probably to increase by 2-3deg ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo OMG

I think any car with mags, bright paint, side mounted number plate, stickers, or any of those type of things is bordering on being "fast for what it is" rather than being a genuine sleeper.
A sleper is something you'd never pick...

definitely agree but I still think a lot of people would just think that my car has been riced up a bit. I mean it is still a boxy old 82 corona! Suppose I will see when it eventually gets back on the road

Plates get coverd so the bacon don't send out nasty letters. Also so cops cant track between cars/users/car mods without knowing the car personally or the owner.
As for the sleeper thing. Its kinda hard when your car stands out as much as a chick walking naked through a carpark. The only people it puzzles is people that don't know what it is/whats in it.

i think the baby on board sign reverses the things that make it look non sleeper lol
as for never getting pics taken of front of car.. thats how i got my 1st speeding fine.. pitch black.. all u can see is two headlights and a number plate

On my landcruiser the plate positioning made the difference between over heating and normal running. The car rarely did more than 60 mph(the bonnet would fly up) so i moved the number plate to as far downwards as i could.

get a slimline plate mount it in the middle of your bar on the lower edge just put some angle brackets there to hold it at about 30 degrees up from horizontal.
thats what i did with my jetspeed bar its prefectly legal doesnt restrict airflow much at all and your plate looks like its floating in the air.
so its the best of 3 worlds. legality , airflow , and bling
i would post some pics but i didnt get any before the nose got wiped off by a roo

Is anyone actually 100% sure on the legalities of numberplate repositioning in NSW? I don't mean "I think this is OK" or "you should be able to do this". I mean has anyone actually read any of the guidlines for NSW about the front numberplate?
Becase I was wanting to move my numberplate over to the left, but I don't want to unless I'm 100% sure it's legal!

as my understanding goes (after being nicely told by an orifice of the law)
must be visible from headlight level about 5 meters away infront AND from 45 degrees to either side of the car at the same height.
where i had mine mounted was ok he just told me to lift it off being horizontal so its visible
