Why do people insist on doing this??

The dellorto's should fit the redline manifold without any hassle, and as for the ignition, you'll either want something like an IG5 (no longer for sale) or get a dizzy made/adapted+regraphed to suit. By the time you buy the manifolds and carbs, pay someone to do a dizzy and get it tuned etc. you're not exactly going to be overly in pocket over using EFI, plus you'll still have carbs. Yuck. Evil or Very Mad

i have no idea what ignition 4ages run, but if you're replacing ecu-controlled spark with a distributor, you need to run the triggering system from that distributor. if you use a 4ac distributor it will likely have points, so you just need a coil. i once went out with a girl who had a 4afc ae92 and it had a distributor with reluctor pickup, which yes would need an ignition box. i have no idea what bolts onto what 4ags and what doesn't, those are just two examples

i dare say that *IF* the ecu has nothing to do with the spark, and it's all just controlled by a distributor and ignition box on your 4age, then you could leave it stock and just put your carburettors on

Yes almost any sidedraft twin carb will fit on the redline manifold.

Low pressure fuel pump and associated surge tank if neccesary
A modified distributor that triggers an electronic ignition system or there is a site somewhere that tells you how to use the factory computer.
adaptor manifold, carbs that should be rebuilt and jetted to suit.
custom brace to the carbs to support them and stop them from snapping under hard vibration.
A good dyno tuner that knows how to tune your chosen carbs well.
A decent exhaust sytem to cope with the improved flow.

because it sounds like this .. and thats not even fully tuned Wink
