Hey Buddy, why dont you buy a W50 from a RA Celica?, the boxes bolt up to the "M" series bellhousing. (No other mods or changes required, provided yours is already floorshift)I did it years ago on my MA65 Crown, and would highly recommend the swap.

You can have my W40 for free without bellhousing (I need that!). I will be in Sydney in 2 weeks time. Email me to sort out some pick up details.

Man I didn't have to change anything. The W50 bolted up to the W40/M seies bellhousing, and the gear lever came out in the same spot, No tailshaht mods required.
Do you have the shanky old external linkages and column shift?, if so then my info probably wont help.
Regards Chuck
