1JZ Alternator Problems

Well all my problems mentioned in previous posts are possibly all related to this...
Before i start the car, i read 11.53 Volts at the battery (the car has been off for a while and i have been playing round with the stereo while its been off etc)
My car when at idle has 14.55 Volts at the battery
I turn on the hi beam, fog lamps, stereo, amp, fans, everthing.. and at idle the car reads 13.5 Volts at the battery, and with a little rev to about 2000rpm it reads 14.4 volts... this is with every single electrical item in the car on.
I switch the car off... with the turbo timer running it at like 300/400rpm its still cranking out almost 13 volts...
Car is off after running for 10mins... battery is holding 12.64 volts.
Ive been told this is way way too high for the battery, and all my problems could be related to my ecu and everything etc having a fit because of being pumped too much voltage... i asked "hey wouldnt this blow fuses" but because its the voltage thats too high and not the current then no apparently.
Anyone disagree with this?
Does anyone know if the voltage regulator is strapped to the side of the alternator or if it is located elsewhere, ive had a quick look from the top and bottom but due to its location you cant really see sfa without pulling things out. I thought id better check before i starting digging too deep incase its located somewhere else entirely.
Thanks alot.

don't see those voltages causing a problem as they all look very normal to me.
and i'd be surprised if the ECU couldn't handle 14volts most electronics are designed to operate on a range of voltages for example 10-15v they wouldn't design it to only run off 12v and thats it.

My JZA70 has a brand new alternator, and brand new battery.
Off the gauge in the dash (prolly unreliable) when running it always shows more than 14 V, I cant remember the scale but it is significantly higher than 12 V.
on that gauge it will drop to below 12 volts whent he car is off. The gauge is sensitive enough to show the fluctuations from the blinker circuit working when the car is off.
I think it is normal, and very good for amplifiers !!

Yeah, can't really see too much wrong with the voltages there at all. Only thing to look for I suppose is cruddy earths on the ecu/wiring loom/pretty much everywhere. Make a few earth leads and add them in, can't hurt.

Yeah car is meant to put out 14v when engine is running then when you first stop the motor it should read 12,13V and if you leave it for a while and come back it should be around 11V thats how batteries normally behave.
