hey all,
i went to start up the corona today but it wouldnt fire, it would crank fine but no fire, now i took the distributor cap off and it isnt getting any spark, i think it might be the coil and the resistor, since one time i was tightening up the battery and bumped the resistor and put a little hole in it and a bit of fluid came out, would that be stopping it from firing,
any help much appreciated
Cheers Trent

Fluid doesnt come from the resistor. If theres no spark at the points then check the wires going to it. I would try cranking it and seeing if theres anything at the leads where it goes to the plugs. You cant always see saprk at the points. and then just start testing everything.

Put a new coil on.
They are filled with oil to help keep them cool inside and without some or all oil in there it will have overheated and stopped working.
Thats my opinion but i might be wrong.

they all do the same thing..
usually when you aint getting any spark formt he coil most of the time the points are closed up so check them to.
