URGENT: RA23 windscreen rubbers Wed, 11 September 2002 01:20 Go to next message
Can anyone tell me if TA22 or RA21 rubbers will fit into my RA23? Toyota have genuine ones for almost $200 each and 20,21 and 22's are all that rare spares list. What about other cars?? Response needed urgently.

Interesting info, but i'm really just after info about the windscreen seals. I got some measurements and they look to be completely wrong but I was thinking maybe RT140 corona ro commodore or something. Might contact a windscreen place.

Yes, they will fit.
TA-22s have exactly the same windows, and an RA21 would just be a 2L TA-22 shaped celica that came out in amerika or canada or some other country, as far as I can gather.

I actually have the Rare Spares rubbers in my '23, and they are a good fit. Although the dick that installed them didn't use any sealant, so I still have to get the rear one pulled out & sealed up properly (I had the front 'screen replaced & properly sealed a little while back).

joel, those were the RA21 rubbers? I might see if I can get a set in them. Were they for both the front and back ones?

I got the two windscreen rubbers at the top of the window rubber list, same part numbers (although they have gone up a whole $1 each!)
On the reciept it describes the front one as a TA20 rubber & the rear as TA20/22.

Well and truly off topic, but Willwal, have you managed to find an 18R-GEU inlet manifold yet? Since my Celica was stolen, I've got absolutely no use for mine now. It's complete with everything the bolts onto it - apart from cold start injector which has been blocked off.

RA23_Sean - Yeah I've had one sitting in my room for some time now. I'm just organising to get injectors (ones that came with it were stuffed) and en ECU and afew other bits together. Should have the rest of the bits I need in about a week or so and i'm installing it over the christmas holidays.

Thanks for the offer though.
