7mgte soarer cam timing

ok ,hi guys
i was wondering if anyone has played around with the cam timing on the 7mgte engine, as i am in the middle of replacing the head gasket and wanted to fine tune anything that i can on the way to give a bit more power,
the cams have 3 dowl holes in them which i am guessing that it would be standard, retarded and advanced timing but as to what degree i dont know...i am thinking of advancing the exhaust to get it out quicker...
so i am asking if anyone has any info as to which dowl to use for turbo setup
also if there are any other little upgrades that you know of plz let me know
