2t, 3t single cam motors do, Thats about as far as my knowledge goes, i know you have to modify either one of or both of the engine mounts to fit a 3tgte in it

Cheers josh

3tgte needs mods to the exhause side mount to clear the turbo, plus all of the mods for efi. anything more than a t series motor is gonna take serious mods

By order of relative difficulty;
2T, 3T-C, 2T-G (and derivitaves), 3T-GT. There ends your bolt-in or close to bolt in options. End of story.

either out another 2t with twin solexes or 3t with twin solexes and extractors... i have found that 2" all the way worked best with those motors... anything bigger is just too big

but if you can get twin solexes you would be cheering

3T-C is sourced from TE71 Corolla (T18) c.1980-85?
1770CC (85x78) inline 4cyl with single downdraft carb.

A FWD motor will not be RWD bolt in. Rolling Eyes

Twin Solex carburettors to 2T (or 3T) requires an appropriate manifold, such as the Redline DCOE manifold. If fitted to 2T-G a factory manifold is available. Throttle linkage would need to be set up. There is a TA22/2T-G throttle linkage set (mechanical) for sale on these forums right now but this linkage set is unlikely to suit twin Solex on 2T (single cam).

well my mate bought a 2tg engine a while back with the twin carbs, so in theory if he took the manifold of that old engine and the carbs they should just bolt on to the new 2t engine everything apart from the linkages??

No. 2T and 2T-G head-to-manifold flange patterns are different. To fit these carburettors to 2T you'll need an aftermarket DCOE-pattern manifold to suit 2T (only).

This was my first result for "redline manifold" in Google. find the listing for DCOE (2), note the part number, make a call...
