TA22/TA23/RA23/RA28 Celicas are your best bet; they came with 3.9:1 or 4.1:1 T series diffs depending on whether auto or manual.

I have 3.9 gears out of an auto RA28 you can have if you want to pay for postage Smile They're still on the carrier though...

I'm looking for some 4.3:1 gears... Anyone have any? Very Happy

cool cheers for the info ppl!!

at the moment i have a ta18 whole rear assembly. can i put a ta22 centre straight in? if i change axles?

does it affect drive shaft length, or will it bolt up to the existing AE86 stock one?

simon: i can see it works well indeed!!! did u use the whole ta22 rear assembly or just the centre?

cheers,
jono

I believe Simon used a T18 housing, with TA22 center (and carrier), T18 driveshaft... Simon: feel free to correct me if I'm wrong Razz

AE86Slut: I'd be interested in knowing that too. The only one I know of is the 4.3:1 from the Jap Truenos/Levins(?). I've heard of a 5.1:1 TRD gearset but not sure...

I'm 99% sure there is a 4.7 available from TRD or aftermarket, and a friend has been told he has a 4.5 so......

It sucks going around Wakefield and bogging down in 3rd around the first corner!!! Mad And only just getting into 4th before the dog-leg.
