Yeah, I've done it for the last few years.
Takes me about 15mins once I have found all my stuff.
Get my money back after about 8 days.
Sooooooo much better than paper.

Did it last year. It's not really online as such - you download the Tax Pack Program and it only connects once completed to send your info back to the ATO. Bloody quick and got my refund quickly too.
I won't do it this year though as my tax is too complicated due to having a rental property.

yeh i've used it for the past few years, takes 20 min now - you can use rollover next year and don't have to fill in all the trivial details again, jsut the more significant stuff.
the longest thing was finding last years notice of assessment so i could do the proof of identity

Hey all,
My better half works for the ATO. She's shown this thread to some of the people responsible.
Oh, and they ask you to fill out the survey at the end to help them improve the product.

I used to use Etax and it takes about 20 minutes.
This year I did it at work (accountant) and it takes 3 minutes max for mine
still takes a week to get the refund though.

yep, took me exactly 7 days for my refund to be sitting in my bank account, including a weekend, so i think that's pretty good.
and within 5 minutes of that, i had my order down for a new ipod....
