Mph Speedometers - What a waste....

First off, our distances and speed is measured in Kph, have fun working out the conversion 'on the fly'
Second, its like 60mph = 100kph thats like a quarter of the speedo. What about the other 3/4. Never get to used (legally).
I understand they are good for drag, but come on, in a street car.
I noticed a few rides today who are using the Autometer MPH Speedo, as nice as it looks, useless for the road. Dudes actually pay almost a grand for that.
Last time i checked we're not American 'thank god' so why are we following their speed system. Aren't Australian proud enough that we are going our own route.

Having a cold pisses me off! 
I need to use a ventilator at night time due to my muscle disorder. When I have a blocked nose I can't breathe with the mask on because it doesn't go over my mouth just my nose. That is why I am still up even though I am dead tired.

I'm only awake because my room is freezing cold 9 degrees on my thermometer.
I've got on like 6 jumpers, 3 pants, and can you believe it NO gloves. I can't type in this weather. My fingers are gonna drop off.
Someone donate me a heater. I'll reward them with....well......i send you an IOU ^_^

i agree!!! its like WTF also when you go to the creek and they give the time stamp with top speed in MPH... you have to take a calculator with you so you can work out the speed in our terms (maybe not that drastic) BUT STILL
i also HATE the fact that we are starting to americanise ourselves in everything... who the F!@k do they think they are? and why the hell are we trying so hard to copy them? man we are the biggest puppets in the wolrd and it pisses me off HARD!!!!!!!

but back to topic why are we following them for? whats so good bout their way that we alwayts have to follow in everything... we are one of the best and smartest countries and people in the world and yet we are so lazy that we just follow others for convenience
whats even worse is the fact that the guages that are in KPH are more expensive than MPH WTF they are the same guage just different freaking numbers!!!!!!!!!

I don't have a problem with them, but then again I've never owned a car with KPH. Just divide by 5 and mulitply by 8. You get to know. Now you need to get over it. If someone want to spend a grand on a MPH speedo I agreenit dumb. They belong woth the excel idiot in the owned thread.

$100 for a speedo,is it gold plated or something.
But how hard is it to multiply by 1.6
100mph still sounds better than 160kph in my opinion.

i have a mph speedo in my celica, i dont have a problem!
if your got a problem, simply dont put one in your car, simple!
come too think of it this thread is pretty simple, pointless really
