Just wondering how far you can port the 270 18rg head.
I have one to do and i don't want to cut up the spare head to find out.I want to go as far as i need to get the maximun flow possible but without going into any water jackets.
Will only be used for racing so high revs application as won't be going under 4000 on the track.
If any of you 18rg experts could help that would be great.
Thanks.
EDIT
Surely someone here would know how far you can go.
wut you are asking is impossible
no one can tell you such things as heat is not homogenous in a hed
why dun you measure the present thickness of the cooling walls and go from there?
too thin, the heat causes leaks as the metal changes atomic structure
Yeah i might have to do that.
I thought someone would have done these heads before and be able to tell me how far they went or could have gone.
Unfortunatly when i did a search first the pics that WITZL had posted were'nt there in his post.
