I am looking at getting one.. They are good if your car runs rich or if it gets rich when you boost it. I know someone here got 16kw on a 7MGTE by putting one on..
You get something out of it if your car runs rich..

Tell me how you go with it..

T'was me Very Happy

I gained 16rwkw after installing it, and probably around 70-80 extra km's out of each tank. Only problem is i've upped the boost since installing it and the car is running really rich again so its gotta be retuned on a dyno

I've got one too - on a Z20 with 1G-GTE.

When completely standard I used to get black specks all over the rear bumper and boot from unburnt fuel. I was also using up to 15l per 100km when driving "enthusiastically".

Had the SAFC-II fitted at the same time as upping the boost to 14psi (pneumatic bleed). No more black specks and fuel economy around 13l/100km. Very Happy

Can't complain too much about that eh?

The only issue is some slight mucking about required to hook it up correctly to the vane air flow meter.

its really easy to tune, i'd suggest getting a pro to hook it up though - choosing the wrong options can severly damage your engine

I went to Hill Motorsport in Castle Hill (NSW) cost me $200 to get it installed and dynotuned

Ah guys thanks for all that info, feel better now Laughing , also i'm thinking of getting a MSD ignition control, is this even possible to fit on with a SAFC II? kinda like having a cheating replacement ECU with the air/fuel and the ignition controll.

i think it would be about the same as mine, approx, 10-14kw at the fly, not sure at the wheels, depends on how its tuned i guess. its only going to alter your air/fuel ratio. you'd get better results from like a microtec comp. replacement ecu if you have about 1500-2000 on hand.
