6MGE inherant problems??

is there any inherant problems with the 6MGE engine. i have searched, but i cant seem to find much info, as mostly its just yanks bullshitting

i kinda meant like with the engine itself like 7M low head bolt tension etc

6M's are older than 7m's and are going to CHEW oil like theres no tomorrow.
Headgasket issues are similar to that of the 7m.
The 6M shares the older design head of the 5MGE. 6MGE is easier to wire up. Thats about it.

spose its just like any other engine of its age, there will always be problems...
only the rare lower k ones can sometimes not have em, but those are pretty slim pickings

Oh, and don't forget to check for a chewed out crank pulley/crank if the crank bolt has been loose for too long.
