ST185 single pot caliper mounting distance Wed, 21 July 2004 10:58 Go to next message
Anyone know the distance between the centres of the mounting holes on a front ST185 single spot (11" rotor) caliper?

Or a front ST205 for that matter?

I'd go downstairs and rip my caliper off and measure but its just too bloody cold Smile

Thanks in advance

Spectral.

the st205 ones will bolt right up dude - you thread the caliper to accept a 14mm bolt by memory and they are on ..

if your doing the brake upgrade the only dramas is getting the spacing out of the rotor - it sits about 5mm wider than the st185 one to line up with the new caliper ..

nah, i'm not using the ST205 calipers. Most likely using a custom kit. I want bigger than 296mm, plus I want to avoid using spacers. I've heard of issues with ST205 rotors too, people seem to have more luck with the WRX 99+ jobs..

I'm probably going for 326mm WRX STi rotors and Brembos, but a recent price hike on the Brembos has got me on the lookout for other calipers. Alcon, AP Racing and Brembo are all around the 700-800 mark. Harrop... don't bother there $1000+.

Anyways, I ripped off the calipers tonight and measured with the veniers : 131.12mm, so I'm saying 131mm.

Very close thou Toof Smile
