Dizzy could be one/two teeth off
Timing could be way out
Make sure you have all the plugs back in the right places.
If its not pre-ignition (timing related), then you have probably connected a constant 12v to an ignition 12v
Also if a relay is stuffed, it wont turn off when you turn the key, hence it stays on igntion 12v.
Theres some stuff to think about.

Could be dieseling. check the fuel pump relay. if it is stuffed and fuel is still being delivered that could be the cause of it.

the distrubutors in properly and ignition timings set to around 12deg mark, i wouldnt image it is the fuel pump relay as you need the computer to keep in the injectors pulsing so im assuming its a blown relay or some thing. Where are the relays kept for the ecu etc... on a cressida, other wise is it possible to put a kill switch on the -ive side of the coil 2 kill power till i take it 2 a auto electricians $$$, i dont like pulling the ht lead of the coil to stop it as always get zapped
cheers

Some of the relays are at the drivers feet.
You will see a 'circuit opening relay' that control the fuel pump.
There are also some relays behind the battery.
Alternative ways to stop it are to unplug the 'circuit opening relay' or the AFM plug, as both of these will stop the fuel pump operating.
Before you take it anywhere, double check EVERY plug/connection/wire you undid, make sure its all as per beforehand.
Make sure all the earths you took off have been reconnected.
