only 255/40/17!
they are worth brand new to buy $360 plus gst each!

I would have snapped them up, but they are too wide for my 17x8 rims (legally anyway

8" rims would be fine ,but border line for 255 mm wide tyres!
it is 7" and 7.5 " that is the problem!

Cheers, but LEGALLY, 8.5" is the minimum, and recommended is 9 or 9.5".
235 is plenty wide enough. If you had a matching set of fronts in 235/45, I'd definitely reconsider !!!!
