4age coil & Ignitor Q's

Being 20 odd yrs old i think its time to change the coil and ignitor, no real problem with them, just pre-empting trouble while i got a bit of cash.
Any ideas on brand, what to avoid would be a great help, i would normally get a auto leco to do it, but im kind of a "hands on guy" and i like to get my hands dirty, even thou me and electricity are like oil and water, DONT MIX, but i aint stupid.
The only real brand name i know of is MSD, can any-body recomend anything. Any thoughts on price would be sweet too?
Cheers
Steve

Mate its probably a good idea to replace the coil, but i didn't think ignitors were an item that wore out and probably couldn't do much better than the factory item.
Everyone please correct me if i'm wrong though.
Cheers

Im not even sure if ignitors wear out, i was thinking out loud, and considering there right next to each other. Cheers for the input.

Only on the throttle body, to the dizzy then off to the battery, have you earthed the injector rail and alternator as well.

Sort of, its not just the block, i ran 2 wires, both off 1 of the throttle body bolts to the earth on the battery, stop 1 of the wires at the dizzy, cut and use a ring electrical connector then re-join at the battery with the other wire. I just used speaker wire, 4 gauge i think it was.
Made no real power i dont think, i got ignition and timing issues, but it did make the motor feel a shit load more smoother, more responsive, doesnt need as much pedal to get moving.
Hope it helps, ill give pics and final verdict on friday, if my shit gets fixed.
Cheers

Where is the fuel rail earthed, looks like up on the second fuel rail bolt, where is it on the alternator, just on the braket bolt i assume.
Back to my original q's were's the best (cheapest) place to get a MSD coil for me beast.
Cheers
