Are you taling about the center bearing thats around the middle part of the driveshaft? If so there's no way that bearing (warn out or not) could cuase my car to jerk voilently when putting the Auto into Reverse. And besides i put a new one in, wich did help with some vibrations while driving.

There is some major play somewhere along the driveline, and i've narrowed down to only the diff, or the sub axles. the sub axles have a few mm's of play, but i don't think they could cuase such a jerk.

Jerking could also be the engine mounts too. If its diff you would notice when you drive normally? Smile

Engine mounts are still good, they have been checked, along with the gearbox mount.

I notice the jerk the most when going into 'R', but i also notice the jerk when the auto downshifts when coasting to a stop. (not as strong as when changing to 'R" while stationary tho).

The auto box is a freshly rebuilt one, and by listening when i shift into R, the auto box makes a smooth shift, then you hear a clunk in the back of the car, and at the same time you recieve a big jolt!

4.6:1 Shocked Prepare for acceleration!!

Adelaide Jap are uber-expensive. Every quote I've got from there was twice the price of anywhere else.

lumpy: Your not wrong, Adeliade Jap would have to be the worst i've dealt with. They never answer your e-mails. like you said charge twice as much, and for me they sent the wrong parts!

BTW still after a diff, preferably close to the 3.9ratio. i have $600 saved up!
