offset is the same, but wheels dont fit?

hi guys.
ive bought some 15" wheels for my ae82 corolla, the offset and PCD is the same for both wheels, however the new wheels are 195, and the old wheels are 185. ive currently had the 14" stock wheels on my car, and succesfully swapped the front wheels with the new ones. they fit fine.
my problem is with the back wheels. when i tried to put these wheels on, the wheels rub against the stock shock absorber on the back wheels? id say my wheels are too wide, but there must be some way to get around this?
surely other must have had this problem?
any suggestions/ideas/solution would be veyr welcomed!
thanks guys.

generally when u get wider rims you change the offset to be smart and suit
though not the most recommended practise you can use wheel spacers to space away from shock absorber...

spacers are not the most legal either, but everyone does it
when you change wheel width, offset has to be different. i prefer to measure backspacing when seeing which wheels will fit where. perhaps try going back to 185 tyres

yes i know, but its too late as ive already bought thr tyres you see
i didnt think to look for tyres with a 55 ofset, as i just dont see many off them around?
anyways, i think im gona have to go with spacers, and just try and conceal them as best i can. can anyone recomend a good place to get some in melbourne area?
i need them to be bout 6-8mm thick, with pcd 4x100.

i have a set of spacer's, but i'm in tassie. spray your hubs and the spacers the same colour, black would be best, then you, or anybody else will be able to tell, especially cops(dumbasses!!!).

are the old and new rim widths different?
sayyyyyy by half an inch?
if so, although "offset" is same, if the new rims are half an inch wider, then they will stick in 1/4" further toward the shocks than the old rims..
thats about 6mm.....
can you exchange the rims?

any wheel/tyre shop should be able to supply you universal fit spacers for about $10 each. you can get aluminium ones and steel ones
