HKS Garret GT25.
Looks good, but bearings may be bad (need clean-up).
Out of car, can see if needed.
(not from my car, my brother got it from Japan)
Not sure what price it would be worth, maybe around the thousand dollar + mark?? (I don't know!)

What did it come out of? 1K for a stuffed turbo seems a bit steep. There is some great Aussie shit out there at good prices. Japan doesnt necessarily make all the best stuff, we got some cool boffins in Oz who can do better.
eg. I got a wicked custom made 5puck button ceramic clutch with pressure plate and release bearing in 20 mins from home (m5 can be good sometimes) for $770.00.
Its the best clutch Ive ever had!
For a '91 gt4 thats a good buy.

Don't know what it came out of as he brought it over from japan (in his luggage).
Don't think its stuffed, just might need a clean. And the turbo itself is worth about 6 grand new.

Thats what he said. Its got HKS internalls, not Garret. The guy at GCG Turbos said he'd buy it for $500 so its gotta be worth a fair bit more than that. Plus to recondition it fully would cost around the $2,800 mark (at GCGs).
Where did u get $1,400 from?
Where did u get your turbo from?

ahh sounds nice.
With my turbo blown (see one of my threads in conversions) I'm gonna put a 1UZ in my car, and twin turbo it (later). So I might drop in to your mate.

Touche' or however they spell it. I have a similar story to yogi's, however mine has naught to do with a friend.
I bought a brand new garrett roller gt40 600hp for $2200. That's twice the size of yours at a third the price. HKS seem to make things a little pricy for no apparent reason sometimes.

Somone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the gt25 can be built between the range of 200 - 300 hp?

You gotta understand also when your start running a gt25 over about 320hp it wont last long. Rebuilds alot more often are on the cards.
