hey guys, i recently joined the forum and i apologise because im sure this question has been asked many times before.
i currently owned an ae92 corolla hatch with the stock 4afc engine and my rings are gone and maybe a head gasket. ive got a friend that will do a conversion for cheap but im not sure wether to put a 4age or 4agze in and how to go about it. The only reason im thinking of the 4age is because im only 18 and i worry about insurance. thankyou for any suggestions and/or opinions

4age would be the cheapest option.
very easy conversion. Just need EFI tank and lines from either a CSi, SX or GTi model, and then the engine, gearbox and shafts.
Its pretty easy if you get all the parts.

My opinion is that if you are going to the trouble of doing an engine conversion, go the whole hog and do the ZE. But it is a bit more difficult given the intercooler location and all. Insurance could also be a problem.
Research some more, decide what you want from your car, get all the parts you need and then go for it. Won't be too hard.

contact insurers re. insurance.
Most of the time they dont care if its a 4agze or 4age 20V - just that you swapped the motor.
