 1GGTE Y-pipe: WTF is this?

Hey guys,
I've been putting the stuff back on my engine, the heatshields had this little cutout for a bolt. While it was off, I decided to try and work out what the bolt was.
I removed it, and it was just basically plugging a hole on a fitting that has been put onto the top of the factory y-pipe off the back of the turbos.
This is what was awaiting me:

Any ideas what it could be? For the moment I've just blocked it up again and am going to leave it, but if anyone thinks it could be something important...

its not factory, if ur running a std. setup i cant see it matters

Might have been for an EGT sensor or something?
