And are the inlet and outlets 3 inches in diameter too? or is this just the piping. if not what size are they?

Inlets and Outlets are both 3 inch (75mm)

Ok, I checked out my intercooler last night,
Piping is Stainless Steel
End tanks are Stainless Steel
The core is Aluminium.
That should answer all those questions.
