Bad luck dude.....

However, that's the unfortunate reality of parking a car in Parra.... It's a matter of time around there Rolling Eyes

*SIGH*

i guess all u can do is wait for someone to report it if it's been abandoned, or if coppers stumble across it - but then again, that could take a while Rolling Eyes

My best guess would be that it's nearby in an adjacent suburb, used for just a thrill ride ....let us know and maybe we can chuck these thieves in a furnace along with the ones who did my car

Once they go to digital you will need one from the good old US at about $1000.Thats what i was told by a guy up here who is into all that sort of thing.

Lucky...hope all is well with your beast Very Happy Did you find it or the cops?

As for the scanners, i recently heard from a mate that most are going digital as of Jan 2005, and apparently the police channels are encrypted. So i might get a "lost/broken" police scanner from a mate Razz

I reckon we should get a petition going to bring back this type of punishment to crims Mad They do deserve it, especially if its not their first time.

Thats probly not the best sybject for an internet chatroom guys, I think that we're more interested in cars, engine etc. Its a lot safer and causes less problems.

No.. the Police found it...no idea if any one reported it..
Got it home on Monday night..dash ripped to shit.CD player gone...speakers too...ignition switch ripped out .steering column cover crapped..door lock/ screw driver job..they cut the vinyl on the head rests? and wrote on them and on the head lining with blue biro...they could not spell...airfilter and top gone?...might have run out of fuel and had to feed it to start..hit gutter on passengers side..been doing burnouts ...on oil they were laying down...bottle in the car...clutch is just about shot I think..The CD's they did not like they broke in half or scuffed on the ground..they good ones are gone..They took a couple of hockey sticks and my sons old club jacket...we have people out watching for those items..the sticks will be hard to flog/disguise and the jacket is somewhat unique these days and has his name on the front...car is covered inside and out with fingerprint powder and the crud from the burnouts...there was a guy at the compound picking up a telstar that had the same experience...worse off...smashed lights etc and slashed seats..assessor has seen mine today...fingers crossed they offer write it off...

Well after my pathetic wingeing of last week I have been given $1,000 and been allowed to keep "the wreck"(considered by the independant assessor has having "no commercial value" - but he was real keen to take it away ??)..having washed all the finger print crud off the beastie and spent a days labour and $84 on some parts..wheel alignment tomorrow..plus $20 at the wreckers our family hackmobile will be back in business and newly relaunced as "Lazarus"..no radio/CD player now but a Crooklock to deter amatuers...you want music.???.sing... Laughing Laughing

Want a laugh? ...I got an over the 'phone trade in price on a new Subaru of $1500????..and yes he did know what it looked like..I sent him some pics..So much for "no commercial value"...and what is going on there I wonder?? Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes
