Nah, some dumbarse has put the sticker on, or more likely swapped the EFI for carbs at some stage

Probably was injected at some stage, but its obviously been removed if it now runs four carbies. Engines that old have most likely been chopped and changed with a fair bit in their life, don't believe all you see on stickers or plastic covers.
Quad carbies sounds pretty cool though.

Thanks guys u both responded heaps quicker then expected , i suspected that it may have just being chopped and changed a bit alot in this car has if anyone can tell me how to post pics i have got a few to show u's. Also your right, with the four carbies it hammers along quite well but it absolutely guzzles fuel. Thats not a worry for me but cause i can't drive it on the road yet, well not legally thats y its in my mums garage getting all those little things that have gone wrong over time fixed. Once again thanks for the help and now i know where ot look in future

I doubt he has quad carbies, more likely twin carbies, each with dual throats. "Alfa Romeo carbies" sounds like Weber DCOE's to me.

i could be wrong, but i was under the impression that alfa's ran on delorto carbs...
a mate just pulled the 2 X 40 or 45 mm side drafts off a GTV for his datto rally car, and i thought they were delorto's... they are basically the same physically, but i could be wrong also... any experts??
but yes, 2, 2 barrel side drafts sounds more like it.

kermit, dont worry, as i am by no means an expert..
i just knew a very little bit about this particular subject.
thats the beauty of forums, someone will always no something about any given subject, so there is always some knowledge on hand...
but as always, some will always know more than others ( thanks ViPeR_NiPPleX )
cheers

Its a pretty done thing, going carbies over EFI on the older 2T & 18RG engines. Cant explain the science of why, but I've seen a lot of it around. I had a 2T-GEU with all the factory EFI gear, ran like a dream.

Some people get scared when they hear EFI. They think it's all terribly complex and unreliable, so they throw it all out and replace it with simple, familiar carbies. It used to happen a lot, and probably still does to a degree!

you think its strange seeing efi 18rg and 2tg's going back to carbs...
i have seen a SR20DET gone back to blow through twin 2 bbl solex's... "just to be different"
why on earth would someone bother????
sorry, prolly off subject
from wat i can gather with the 2TG, some of the efi gear has prolly broken or stopped working properly etc, and the owner has just gone carbs, as they are easier and possibly cheaper to find.
