I could not change gears very well, as the clutch was not fully releasing. (2TG - 3T clutch). I tryed bleading the line and even honed the slave cylinder and got new seals. The clutch will still not fully release, which makes it imposiable to change gears, or even select reverse of 1st when stopped. I don't know what the problem is. Now I have to remove the gearbox and see whats up! which I will be doing tonight/tomorrow. I may need a new clutch. A mate at Repco said $140, or $200 for a PBR "performance" clutch.

Sounds more like a clutch problem then a clutch master cylinder problem. Can u flick you pedal fully up with your foot? Does this achieve anything?

I got my gearbox and clutch out now. Nothing seems too odd looking. I will get a new clutch anyhow and see if that fixes it. maybe it is the fins or something, look ok. Or maybe the mastercylinder? I don't think so.

Now the gearbox is off, and I have a small rear seal leak. I wonder if I can take the flywheel off and get a new rear seal? without taking the motor out or sump off?

Johny,
Your pivot point may not be adjusted properly or perhaps you have the wrong clutch fork ? Just something to look at while it is out !

The fork, bellhousing, bearing, clutch, plate, slave cylinder all came from the same car (TE72), and it was working fine before. THere is no adjustment at the pivot or slave cylinder, and the fork is not bent. The slave cylinder is now honed with new seals, didn't fix the problem. I don't think the master cylinder creaps. I has to be the preasure plate some how.
So I will get the flywheel off too, replace rear seal. Machine flywheel? Not nessesary I think.

Got the clutch out. It looked ok. Still don't know the exact problem, but it was in the clutch somewhere. I got a new clutch kit anyway, a RPM Performance clutch, (painted yellow) for $140. ($301 retail). I put that in and everything is fine. The pedal is lighter, and the clutch grabs a bit harder.
