i just want to know if anyone else has seen a 4age like this one.
http://www.albumsnaps.com/index.php?content=photo& amp;id=48146
the placement of the sparkplugs indicates that it is a 86kw 4age from teh ae82 series. (usually the 100kw engine spark plugs sit under a plastic strip?)
but the red cam covers and no 'TVIS' label on the throttlebody indicates it is a 100kw 4age from the SX or GTI ae92 corollas.
has any1 else seen a 4age like this?

does anyone have any pics of other engines with same configuration?
i am really confused myself.
this is now my car, and it was sold to me under the impression that it had a 100kw engein swap into it. i dont know if the previous owner even knew what engine it was. he said his brother did the swap over.
hes a member on these forums too, redAE86 i think his name is.
didnt ALL 86kw engines have the TVIS throttlebodies anyway?

well that's a smallport head and intake manifold. I'd hazzard a guess that the owner slapped in a 100kw long motor with the old plug valley cover and old bigport bits. An SX I purchased once had a bigport motor in it running on the 100kw electronics... What's the part number on your ECU, and what colour are the ECU plugs?

*bump*
just wondering if id be loosing any performance from keeping the stock computer? (obviously depending on setup to an extent)
opinions? past experiences? word of mouth?
if so, next year ill prog get an aftermarket computer, so i can wack in some big cams and other goodies.
thanks
