AE93 Conversion (GE to 101 GZE) Tue, 27 July 2004 13:03 Go to next message
Hi Guys,

I've saved up some cash and going to get forced Shocked

Now just a few queries If I can and yes I have searched. People tell me that the AE101 GTZ trueno cut fits right into mine. The other half disagree and say it will require mods to the mounts. Now my old mounts are shagged so if this is the case Id better of wait for an AE92 Cut.

So
- Will the AE101 bolt on the AE93?
- Could I still use my current compressor onto the new engine since it still has gas
- Could I do a front mount, While keeping the Aircon gear?
- Any other advice for this swap would be appreciated

Who in sydney is up to help these guys do the swap? Theres some money involved to those who know what todo and want to help!

(give me an sms or call me on - 0404-009-648)

Also anybody recommend an engineer?

Thanks In Advanced

Just to answer some of your questions:

4. If you plan on paying someone to do it, then I would suggest going out and buying one with the conversion already done. I did mine myself, but only for the experience. As with all engine conversions, expect costs and time to blow out.

edited as takai beat me to it.

BTW takai, I thought you managed to fit your i/c while keeping the aircon?
