very funny you should mention that, as my carb is from a 1974 Fiat 124 (34DMS) do these things always shake apart?
i have a diagram for it, but it's all in italiano
i have since replaced the discombobulator with a finely made stainless steel self tapping screw
less suction noise tho.....

i owned a fiat once, it didnt on that. maybe the carbs' are protesting against being attached to such inferior german/japanese engineering.. the fuel line did pop off once though. like thr actual brass (copper?) part popped out of the carb' body. i was hammering it at the time, thought id destroyed the thing. popped the bonnet, "hmm that looks like it goes somewhere" shoved it back in some random hole, tried to start it, no joy. pulled it out and tried it in another, bingo. was going to use some loctite quick metal on it when i got home, but never did end up getting around to it, i mean the quick metal is good stuff.

didn't pop out, but both the fuel inlet and return started pissing fuel everywhere..
i ended up tapping threads for proper fittings. those presd in brass barbs suck arse
hmm, what else... the choke screws vibrated off...
i think they don't like high rpm vibration.. but then again, not many carbs do.

my mixture screw fell out. (rubber o-ring perished). i will also add it was dark when that fuel fitting fell out, i had to feel around with my fingers to find where to put it.
