Just testing the waters here. I had been thinking about this for a while.

Guys in Australia only got the levin front ends, where guys in the US only got the trueno front ends. What kind of interest is there out in Australia to get flip lights? If any.

Just a thought, maybe we could get some trades going or something. Let me know what you guys think. Cool

I think you would find a huge interest here, but the cost of shipping etc may mean that a swap becomes financially unviable.

I was talking about ae86, but I suppose some people may be interested in ae92 also.

I think turbo is right, however, shipping can be expensive. I don't have a specific plan for any of this. Just looking around for interest in it. I have thought about converting to Levin for some time, just seemed like a trade may be the way to go. If shipping could be worked out in some reasonable manner.

Well, interest is definately there.

The next issue to adress would be shipping. I, personally, have never shipped between Australia and the US.

One other question, can you guys get NEW levin parts out there as well? Cool

there is/would be large interest in this sort of swap. someone else from america actually asked about this a couple months ago.

i personally was going to send my levin front, but the costs of shipping looked like it was gonna be too much, close to a grand was the estimate, but i never bothered to actually do any real price hunting.

We are able to get new guards, lights, grills etc all levin straight from toyota, not cheap tho

i dont have the time to look into shipping costs, but if someone can ive got a levin front that im willing to straight swap with straight, non rusty trueno front

cheers

I was going to mention that I had seen peopel posting for trades before, which made me think about it for quite a while.

SHipping does tend to get expensive, I've been looking into crates (for other car parts in the past) and if we were to do enough volume of parts it might be worth while on both ends. It is just a matter of doing it right.

Sometimes you can get good shippoing rates through crate shipping if they have empty space in crates that are going to be shipped any way. Something else to look into.

It's not so much the packaging or the shipping costs that gets expensive, it's the duty taxes, quarantine, etc etc that kills ya... BIG TIME.

ask mr_soopra how much his guards from NZ ended costing him.

hmm, taxes and duties may be a problem eh. I suppose some research into such things is in the bag as well. If I do come across a reasonable solution, I will definately be spreading the word. Myself, as well as a hand full of others around here i know are interested. We shall see, and also, if some of you do have experience in this, your expertese would be very valuable. Thanks for all the responses, I am sure that if thigns fall into place, this could be mutually beneficial.

I will also mention we can get new trueno parts out here(i did ask if you all could get levin parts new), JDM and all as well. Just thought I would note that.
