hmm..i've notice there's more interest in AE86 coupe..what's happening? what is the difference with a hatch and a coupe?
is ppl getting into coupe cause its rare and bored with the hatches style or wat?
i still prefer hatch ae86...not because of takumi craps and all..just because they look sexier..
i didnt open this thread to flame ppl who like coupes but i'm just curious why...big up to you if u like coupes..its the matter of taste...but its just like having 180sx with the rear a little longer... which is quite turn off..if there's ever one in the market
cheers

i like both, i think it could be that the coupes are a little different than the hatches, and many people as we well know dont like the TAKUMI name branded to their cars or the wannabe takumi to themselves so having the coupe may be a way to get around this.
I Like the hatches as i have owned one but would never knock back a coupe, That silver and black coupe is one sexy machine!!!! (you all know the one)

i know a sexy coupe ( !? )
FOR
first, if ur looking for JDM 86, then coupes are cheaper.
second, just because its different.
third, apparently they are stronger chassis.
fourth, much rarer. my aus rare list...
aus sprinter
jap trueno hatch
jap levin hatch
jap levin coupe
jap trueno coupe
fifth, pretty much all hatch parts fit (skirts, bumper, interior)
sixth, less recognisable
AGAINST
first, u dont wanna wipe out ur rear end.
second, less recognisable
third, not takumis car
so, looks like it comes down to your own personal taste.
oh, btw paul, a 180 with longer back is called a silvia i believe.
guess its all similar to silvia, 180, sileighty, onevia, etc.
personal taste.
oh, one other point. i wish i was a good a driver as takumi.
but i dont need to look like him too.
