Does anyone know of the part Number for the Brake booster needed for this conversion? I understand it's something along the lines of VH-44 or there abouts?
cheers.

yup, sounds like the right number.. there is another (i think VH40)
what brakes are you converting to? i find that there is no need for a booster with KE70 brakes.

vh44 is the remote brake booster
will make your brakes feel bad so i would avoid unless you need one for engineering

Old Corollas >>> Cool. I thought I wasn't far off. I read it somewhere, but couldn't relocate where I read it!
I'm coverting to KE30, so I can stay with the same stud pattern to reatain my small stockies with whitewalls and hubbies.

Pro Ke >>> ok. The car will not be getting any engineering attention. But, I would like to know your understanding and thoughts on the part VH40, if it exists and if it's a different addition.
Cheers again.

remember to keep ke20 hubs - if you use ke30 ones you will have the 114.3 stud pattern
you also wont be able to fit your 12s over the ke30 brakes, i have tried and failed!
adding a brake booster will make the brakes fill like they need a good bleed... it will feel springy rather than firm
whereabouts in adelaide are you? got a pic of your ke10?

Ok. Basically I am running from the article on this site:
http://www.materials.unsw.edu.au/~sford/dtod.html
So, understandably there is no mention of fitting 12s on the car in the article. That's fine, but I'm glad you pointed it out! I can see where you are coming from with the disc size increased for sure. This just arms me with a reason to upgrade to 14s with the bigger hubbies and fresh whitewalls! sweet.
I reckon I might just do the conversion and see what happens with regard to the pedal feel. That way I'll have a feel for it, then I can make the decision to add the booster or not. Sweet again.
Hey, cheers for your advice on this, muchly appreciated.
I will post a pic tomorrow here for you, as I'm about to head home from work. I just bought the car a week ago from a mate, that decided to trade it in for a WRX... I know, what was he thinking!!! lol.

what 14s are you going to use? ive been down that road on a ke10 and it is a very expensive task - the only 14" steel rims in 4x110 are r100 rims... usually about $200 each) and toytoa 14" hubcaps are a nightmare to fit on them...

Not sure what 14's.. I was thinking it shouldn't be too hard to source some, but what you're saying sounds like I'm gonna run circles trying to find some... Then I guess being a small car with small guard clearance I'd run into an off set issue.. cos she's pretty damn slammed (and will be staying like that regardless!)
Perhaps 13's - would be the easiest option? Hmmm.. I'm just like everyone else - wanting bigger and better!
IS THERE AN EASY ANSWER? - for me with regard to my brake upgrade and keeping stockies with hubbies???... surely?
