Sw20 Power Steering Question

Hey
Ive got a 1990 sw20 mr2, and every now and then the power steering just cuts out, went to check the fluid and its full.
i was told something about a wire that overheats and thats what cuts it out????
ne one got ne ideas or know how i can fix this problem.

I hope it's not your pump because those electronic steering pumps are quite expensive (around $800 from toyota)
Take note of when and how it cuts, try and chase any loose terminals it may be cutting out possibly because of a loose terminal not grounding when going around a corner or something... basically all i can say is check all terminals for good clean contact, check any fuses and then consult a a guru from toyota if that doesn't sort it out.

hrmmmmmm im not sure, what the problem is!!!!!
it only happens occasionaly, when i turn or soemthing, and it has happened once or twice when jus driving str8.
i'll get it checked out asap.
