Hey mate, good to see all the car details up here.
I've seen the T18 first hand hammering along the old road and looked like it sat really well.
Can't wait to see it out there again with the new and improved engine!
Cheers

I've seen this in person. Nice car. I expect to see it at the Show & Shine. It'll prolly be the only T18 there, so go for it and bring it along.

2tg 3t hybrid...so far so good!
i've only had it up to about 5500 rpm so far
the carbs must have the wrong jets i think its running lean over about 4000
has good pull from 3k-4k but then runs out of guts, its got heaps more power up there, just gotta tune the carbs to find it!
a high 15 second run should be possible once its running sweet
yeah ill probably come along to the show and shine just for a perve on some other cars!

the cops are taking their time with it, trying to stretch out the licence suspension as long as they can i reken so im off the road as long as possible, considering i dont have a car atm...
just mailed off a really good letter about why we should be given the car back, its very convincing so fingers crossed!!
as for the fine and penalty, got to go to court for that!
heaps of bs to go through for such a small thing, the words p plate and racing together dont go down well with police
but either way the hole thing will cost a fortune, the coppa reckes impound is $15 a day, plus tow truck plus court fees plus fine, so i probbaly could have bought a 4agte/3tgte for what this will cost me

P.S- nobody likes my coke holder?
i thought that was the coolest thing since sliced bread!
the amount of times ive spilt cans of coke, or had my coke bottle crash and fizz, or slide under the brake pedal was insane!
then to find a 1.25 coke fits PERFECTLY in the extinguisher holder, i was ASTONISHED!
|
I saw it and thought... damn thats funky... now the only thing you need was a coolant system for the coke

i DO have way too much time on my hands...
the diff had to come out, the trailing arms are getting new urthane bushes pressed in, along with the control arms
(thanks des) and im going to chuck in 4:1 centre into it and try get on some sway bar mounts before it goes back in, maybe some fresh paint, calipers and all!
the doors were off so i could drill a nice hole in the corner to get the wires through for the central locking, and the panels had to come off to get the doors off! so im welding a plate behind the crappy car alarm key hole in the front drivers 1/4 panel while its off
still got to wire up thermo fan and electronic ignition
still have to make up some custom rails for my recaro
and still have to finsh my remote central locking
oh yeah, and rego is due in 3 weeks....
the thermo fan, elec ignition, 4:1 diff and weight reduction should make quite a difference, but im seriously pondering going nuts on this engine and squeezing ever last kw out of it
things like bigger cams, copper h/g, light fly, buy a decked, ported head, necked valve stems, maybe even efi?
the carbs sound good, but my sisters 18RG with solexes owns my car on sounds, the dellorto's just arent as gurgly and dont make that awesome sucking sound.
