Motor running like crap

just tonight my motor started running like crap offboost, hunting at idle, sometimes stalling, hesitating when accelerating.
but when you boost it, it runs fine like normal, still pulls hard and cleanly.
So whats the prob here guys?
BTW motor is a CA18det, i know it aint a toyota but what are some of the areas i could look at?

Have you checked the ECU for error codes?
Obvious things off the top of my head are air leaks in the inlet system (anywhere between cylinder head and AFM), or a dodgy EGO sensor, or maybe even a dodgy AFM.

no havent checked the ecu, but you might be onto something with air leaks, have to check lines in the light tomorrow

like norbi said could be AFM..but i dont think it would be..cos if it was faulty then it would be like that all the time i would think..unless its just slightly loose..all i can think of is fiddle with that and check all the lines..yelling it it sometimes helps to
