2T-GEU EFI question Sat, 31 July 2004 01:32 Go to next message
Does anyone know what all the hoses are shit are fon on this EFI manifold?

There is a water line that comes off the manifold flange that goes to the TB, Like other engines this isn't required?

Any help? Thanks

Don't think its necessary, i've seen pics of 18rgeu manifolds with this hose disconnected, and was contemplating doing the same on mine, as I don't have anywhere to return the water after the TB.

Edit; blocked at the flange, not disconnected.

I think the small one that screws into the plenum is an aircon idle up valve, or so I was told. I've got this unscrewed and blocked, so hopefully I was informed correctly. And there is a large hose under the TB before the throttle, that goes to the fast idle air bypass valve near the flange, and from there, goes into the plenum.

From what i've seen the 2tgeu and 18rgeu manifolds look very much the same, so this should sound right...

Not sure, it has a solenoid that is controlled by the ecu in mine, so i hooked it up. I think it allows more air to bypass the throttle when the engine is cold, to raise the idle? Probably won't need it though, i'm not sure.
